As trees get older in the damp Pacific NW forests moss tends to take up an increasing presence on the bark until it finally encases the tree. Taken along the Rim trail in Silver Falls State Park, OR.

A nice case of not seeing the forest through the trees, but the tree through the forest! :)

I like how you isolated and framed that one tree covered in moss.
