My Biggest iPhone issue.

My biggest issue with using my iPhone to take photos and also videos is that the camera lenses on it are always smudged and greasy causing blurry photos.

I keep my phone in my shirt pocket when not in use.

Anyone else with this issue?

Mine hangs around my neck on a strap and I am always dropping food on it. I even use a plug for the connector to keep food out of it. I have not seen an issue with the images because I don't take many. I will have to check.

I keep it my pocket and it remains pretty clean. Keep some moist cleaners handy and wipe it before taking photos. I have several with me as I have to also clean my glasses.

I just keep mine on my pants pocket and honestly have not spent a lot of time being concerned about the lens. The pocket I use has nothing else in it and is always reserved for the phone so not much chance of getting it very dirty.

It must just be me then because this is a constant issue. If I take my phone out 20 times in a day to take photos, I am cleaning it 20 times as the lenses on it are always smudged. My skin is pretty naturally oily so I must be touching it.

Jameel, wet wipes aren’t practical to carry in my pockets. I has been keeping a ens cloth in my pocket too, but they only smear the smudged, they don’t clean it, I have to use my t-shirt, etc.

Alan, are you wearing cargo pants? I can’t see putting y phone in any pants pocket without the fear of breaking it. I have my keys in my right front pocket, and coins and my pocket knife in my left front pocket.

Maybe I need an old fashioned belt holster for the phone.

Quite a while back I decided to dedicate my right front pocket to the phone and keys in the left along with change. Nothing else goes into that right pocket. I do try to avoid handling the phone by the upper left corner.

I always keep a few of these in my camera bag/car. If I am out and about without my gear, I do keep a couple of these with me - mostly because I can't tolerate smudges on my glasses. With quite a bit of rain that I encounter, it helps to occasionally clean the glasses with it.

I use mine all the time. I keep it n my pocket or on my desk or the dashboard. I've never has smudges on it. I do wipe it occasionally but then I don't eat the greasy junk fingerfood you live on. No offense, just science...

Doesn’t it poke into your leg when you sit down? I couldn’t imagine hiking with it in my pocket, it would constantly be rubbing into my leg.

So that’s interesting. But that wouldn’t work for me. I have stuck it in a front pocket a couple of times and it was uncomfortable.

Ha ha, thanks Jeffrey. I eat very healthy now! :)

I have always had oily skin, I have to wash my face at least 6 or 8 times a day because otherwise the oil gets into my eyes and starts stinging.

So it’s for sure a me problem. I need to be more conscientious about it and see how I can prevent touching the camera lenses on it then.

Hasn't bothered me at all. I have been using my pocket as my phone's home for the past 10 years.

If anything goes into my pants pockets, the pants fall off unless I wear suspenders, and I hate suspenders.

If I wore glasses, I could see having those too. In my camera bag I keep a small bottle of lens cleaner and some soft towels as a habit from shooting close to salt water spray at the ocean since I am usually pretty close to where the waves crash on the rocks. But I am not looking forward to adding more items into my pockets, so I just need to figure out how I can prevent the smudges in the first place.
