Hi everybody,

I have, recently, returned to my old love - photography. Although it is my old love, I now know that I still have a long way to go. I would appreciate any assistance on the way in the form of comments, tips and insights. Many thanks in advance.

Welcome and thanks for sharing these! The first is nice and serene. I'm not sure about the placement of the top of the structure relative to the horizon - I'd probably try to get a little bit lower so it appears a little higher.

Great job on the Milky Way photo.

Hi Avi,
Welcome to FW! 2 very good photographs. The 1st one ...took me a while to figure out what i'm looking at, just the way the umbrella thing is lined up with the horizon.

wonderful work. Look forward to seeing more.

Welcome to FocalWorld Avi!!!

These are 2 very nice photos for an introduction! I can say that I am certainly glad that you returned to photography!

I really am enjoining the simplicity of the scene in #1. Centered horizons don’t always work, but with this reflection it works great.

And what a super nice Milky Way shot. I like your focusing on the core. Your White Balance looks great and you have lots of nice detail. Letting the hill silhouette is a good choice with this. It creates a great foundation for the Milky Way but doesn’t distract.

Again, welcome and thanks for becoming a part of our community here.

I like the isolation of your subject in the first image. It's almost a bit confusing as to where the reflection starts and the support ends with this point of view but that keeps me looking which is what you want. Pretty nice MW shot and especially since it's your first.

Welcome to the forum.

Welcome aboard, Avi. It looks to me like you already have advanced talent. I may be wrong, but I think the Dead Sea is somewhere around 1,300 feet below sea level. I look forward to more of your posts.
