On November 6 we had a 10 hour break in the clouds and I drove about 1 hour into the mountains known as the Coast Range near Eugene. Our astronomy club knows of a nice "darker" sky spot.
This occasion was first light for my recently acquired TV127. Very low lying clouds forced my target selection to be above 35 degrees.
When I put the camera on I eventually settled on the Orion Nebula as the first target for my new rig. Wow what fun. Literally the tightest best stars I have ever captured.
Here is my November 2023 version of the Great Orion Nebula.
Televue 127 @ 660mm
Asi 533mc pro
AsiAir controller
Radian Triad Ultra filter
iOptron CEM40 mount
120 minutes integration of 5,10,30,60, and 120 second subframes
Processed with Pixinsight and Photoshop
I like how this version turned out. Enjoy!
