Natural Bridges Part 2

I actually meant to post these chronologically, but messed up and posted the twilight shot first. Here is the sunset shot. The angle isn't the common view, but there were these awesome Crepuscular rays coming from the sunset that in order for me use in the photo. I had to go around to the backside where you couldn't see the hole in the bridge, but I thought the hint of it was enough t help carry the bridge.

Yup - the sun rays do carry this view in spite of not being able to see the hole. I like the colored rays.

Interesting that with the sun completely down there really isn't any light coming through the hole at all. I know it's a bridge but that's 'cuz you told us. :)

Nice balance here with the rays seeming to radiate from that gap between rocks. This image does not need to be about windows in rocks, just a great seascape.

Thanks Alan!

Yeah, I was hoping the super black hole in the rock would be enough to indicate the hole. And of course I had a similar thought while processing this as to why it wasn't lit up by the sun. Now perhaps while the sun was still up it would have? I got there too late to have seen it. And any time I had been there in the past, I don't think the sun was in that position. I would guess though that if the sun was up it would have at least caused a glow inside the hole.

I did actually brighten up that hole while I was processing it, just to see what it would look like, and if it was lit up, it would look pretty cool. But I couldn't leave it lit up with fake light and color as I felt guilty just trying out what it would look like. I couldn't delete that layer fast enough...

I too agree, the rays are the strong element. Curious where this "bridge" is... I know of one in Santa Cruz!
