This might be closer to a Transportation thread but it's also a landscape scene with some hints of sunset colors above the Columbia River valley. The ship on the Columbia is a Roll On/Roll Off car carrier with somewhere between 3-5000 new Subarus heading into the Port of Vancouver where Subaru has a processing facility. Taken a couple of nights ago while I had my drone in the air shooting the sunset. Single frame at 166mm cropped to a 2:3 format.

That's some nice glow in the sky Alan, and a great job of picking that ship out. It's kind of hidden, and I think I might have completely overlooked it while flying a drone.

Thanks Jim - I originally sent my drone up to see if I could score a sunset but the skies were gray along the horizon so I was looking around at the rest of the scenery when I spotted the ship. As it turned out I did get some colors for the sunset I posted yesterday and by then the ship had made it down to where it was completely visible as you see here.

Thanks Jameel - sometimes I see more color due south when the skies to the west are disappointing. In this case I had colors in both directions.
