Need advice on Crested Butte, CO for fall

I was looking to do fall foliage in the Crested Butte area this fall. We were in the Ridgeway area a couple years ago. We now live/travel in a 21 foot RV (Dodge Ram Promaster). Similar to what Amazon is delivering packages in these days.

We have all terrain tires, but just front wheel drive. As I have not been to this area before I don't know if County Road 12 out of Crested Butte and the locations you have highlighted would be an issue. While I did not have our RV/Van during our Ridgeway trip, my impression is that it would have had no issues with County roads 5,7,8 or 9 in the Ridgeway area if we went back there - except perhaps after a big rain (even my rented 4x4 F150 had issues one day after a rain). Please let me know your thoughts.

You will be fine on Kebler Pass (CR 12). I would highly recommend that road, especially in the Horse Park Ranch area.

No they won’t. I have seen lots of RV’s on them. They are dirt/gravel but pretty smooth.

That’s an awesome area to spend a few days in. There are camping areas you can camp for free along the road or just off of it.
