NGC 2239 the Rosette Nebula in a 4-panel mosaic.
Another target reshot with the updated gear.
The Rosette Nebula or Caldwell 49 is an HII region emission nebula that lies about 5,200 light years from Earth in the constellation Monoceros
I thought I'd try something different this time but still using the base SHO (Hubble) palette. A bit of artistic license you might say.
83 x 5min subs @-10C spread across 6 nights for a total integration time of about 7hrs

Great image - the Rosette truly is one of the most amazing targets out there. I think my favorite image I have created to date is of this object.

Really enjoyed the photo essay on your homebrew ROR too - looks fantastic! No doubt lots of great results still to come out there - any thoughts to putting in a more permanent pier setup at some point?

Thanks Mike. Yes, it is a beautiful target with lots of detail on offer. Working next on a bicolour version (HOO) which should show it more in its natural colours.
A permanent pier is on the to-do list possibly after fully automating (ie ASCOM) the roof (currently manual roro) and installing permanent power and data cabling from the house to the shed.
