NGC 7293 - Helix Nebula

Finally I got a few days of clear nights. I had to go to my son's house that is NW of Santa Fe, New Mexico to finally get it. But it sure was nice! He has a basketball court on the side of the house, so I could set up my telescope and leave it set up for the last 3 days. I cover it with a tarp during the day so it doesn't too hot and baked by the sun.

This is the Helix Nebula, some call it the Eye of God. It definitely looks like an eye!

Very interesting - the blue and red contrasts are striking. It looks like a gateway to another dimension.

Excellent Jim! Loving the detail of this. I have just finished imaging this with the Seestar S50, I have not put it through its paces in Pixinsight yet, it'll be interesting to see how it turns out. Again, great work.

Very nice job - such a classic target. Love the colors, and some faint details too. Looks like those must be decently dark skies.
