Northern Lights at Split Rock Lighthouse - Part 2

From a couple of weeks ago at Split Rock Lighthouse along the North Shore of Lake Superior in Minnesota when I was able to capture the Northern Lights.

I had set up 3 cameras, this one was the Sony A6400 with the Samyang 12mm f2.0 lens. I aimed it at where the Aurora had the most activity in the night sky, which meant that it didn't have the actual Lighthouse in composition. It was aimed back towards the cliffs that edge the shore as I was down at the waters edge of the shoreline. So while the first part I posted a week ago could be more dramatic because of the included lighthouse, this one has the best of the Aurora during the night.

It's fun that you have so much footage of these lights that you can make two videos. How are you going to top that?

Ha ha.... thanks Ben! I will probably combine them all into one 2 minute video. I do have vertical footage too, which I don't care for as much with vertical video since it has the large black areas on both sides, but it is able to look higher into the sky then to show more of the aurora activity which is cool.

I am really hoping I can do this again this winter, it's simply a matter of getting a warning in time. From here it's a 12 hour drive, so I would need a 1 day notice. I have been checking out forecasting sites that can give a day or two notice of incoming Solar Storms.
