Another image from the Tuesday night Solar Super Storm. This one is different for me because I am not sure I have seen the Aurora turn Cyan before, so while I like the shapes in the sky, I like this because it's got that cyan area.

Nikon Z6II
Viltrox 16mm f1.8
ISO 2000
5 secs
f1.8

All Comments are welcome,

I started this the other day, but finishing this today it didn't move up the New list. Hmmm

Another awesome color display! I'm looking forward to seeing the time lapse.
I appreciate that Michael. I am processing the timelapse now, this one has a little over 8000 photos in it. I break them down into 400 photo sections as I have found about 400 is the sweet spot so that ACR doesn't choke which processing them. And I am guessing about 30 to 40% of them have headlights in them as the freeway is in the lower right of the image, I couldn't find a way to eliminate the freeway in the image while composing. So I will need to clean those headlights up, as they would be super distracting. But my hope is to have the timelapse done by the end of the weekend.

That's really bizarre -- looks light daylight with the cyan and pink clouds. I would not have guessed it being an aurora shot.

Thanks Monika. I had to look it up, as it looked so strange to me, but cyan is an aurora color. I forget now, but the chart I saw listed the particulars needed for cyan to show up. I am glad I got it, as it makes it different from my previous times.

I guess it's very rare, only seen during intense geomagnetic storms. You were lucky!

I had to juggle grandkids, but I am really glad I was able to get away to capture this. The Storm was almost a KP9, it was like KP8.89 I think.

Were you able to hear it? When it's very strong, it's supposed to be audible.
