Now in Berchestgaden

Days are fairly busy so no time to post images. We are now in the Berchestgaden area, this is a phone shot of Konigsee. The weather is challenging with frequent heavy rain showers and very flat light. This image taken when we had some weak sunshine. Unfortunately the clouds are down and we only catch glimpses of the snow on the surrounding mountains. Wet all day tomorrow so we are off to nearby Salzburg.

Beautiful gorge - I could easily fall in love with an area like this if I wasn't already living near one. The tour boat lends a nice sense of scale to the image.

That looks like such a beautiful place to take a cruise Ken! I hope the weather improves a bit because I can only imagine how beautiful that gorge is.

Oh, the beautiful Königssee! Did you see the Obersee as well (boat to the end of the Königssee and then an easy walk towards a Hütte? Possible to even walk on to the end of the gorge with a nice waterfall.

Not this time Ad, I have Obersee on several occasions. A quick search will show you the weather in Southern Bavaria and neighbouring Austria last week: torrential rain, flooding, terrible visibility making the trip a waste of money. Ken
