NW Forest Fall

If your favored photo venues are centered on wide open spaces the coastal rain forests of the Pacific NW might not be ideal for you. This is a small scene along the Thomson Creek road leading up into the coastal mountains east of Florence Oregon taken during a fall visit a couple of years ago. Wandering away from existing paths and trails will likely require you to pack a chainsaw and a sharp machete.

I like this Alan. I nice variety of yellows and greens. It's taken me a few years, but I am slowly starting to appreciate the subdued fall colors of the PNW.

Thanks Jim - I figured if I kept posting these you might start to catch on For those of us who live here the yellows are quite notable compared to the rest of the year.

Thanks Alisa - we don't get quite the same color shows you get in the Rockies but we do get at least hints of them.
