Observations in the city..

Here are 2 from a recent walk I took in NYC.
The first is taken at the Whitney Museum . In some way I found the scene to be a little mysterious with the women's back turned to me , I was also taken with the effect of the window screens had on the background creating a little blur.
#2: Im always on the lookout for reflections and how they interact with the surface they reflect off of.
The clouds were dramatic and looked neat on the grid of the window surface.
This was taken along the High Line .

Both are very nice , I like 1 best. Not that you had any control of it the only nit pick is the guy sitting to the lower right. Maybe include him, or exclude him. Either way it has a great feel to it.

Hey Dean,

Very cool city shots here. It's nice to see some more action here in the City forum! :)

I like #1 a lot, but I had the same thought Joe did, as to either include more of the guy or less of the guy as he is a bit of a distraction cut in half. Still a great photo you have here, perhaps crop it a bit unless you have a wider view?

I like the reflections on the windows in #2. Those are some sweet clouds there!

Fun set. I do like the isolation in the first one and actually like the inclusion of the guy on the right for the simple reason that it puts emphasis on the common scene we seem to see so often anymore - everyone is looking down at their phones.

Really like the 1st as well, and I'm torn about the person in the lower right. I think I'm leaning towards removing him, by crop or clone. The woman at the window carries the scene nicely.

Thanks for all the feed back I really appreciate it..
I wrestled with the guys legs as well and decided that the crop did not give me the perspective I wanted so I left them in. I guess its the difference between a good picture and possibly a really good image. In many instances with walk around shooting you don't always get what you want its fast and then you move on. You don't have the option like in many instances of landscape shooting to just move and change your perspective. It's often quick and instinctual. Its fun and Im getting better at it I have a lot of respect for those who do it well.
Regards,
Dean

I like them both, although the first seems more intriguing. The legs make it a little messy, but so is life sometimes.
