October sunrise at RMNP

Emerald Lake, Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado 13OCT2018. An early morning sunrise hike to emerald lake wasn't that bad except for few hours of lost sleep, I'm happy to trade that sleep for a beautiful alpine glow like this. The glow was absolutely amazing, a few clouds could have made the scene even better, but no complaints.

You might want to check your horizon - it looks like there is a tilt to the left in this scene.

When I was back in Colorado for Fall Colors, one of the places I wanted to get to and shoot was either Emerald Lake or Sky Pond again. I ended up running out of time, so your shot made me both smile and cry at the same time.

I want to do sky pond, but it's a much more difficult hike-you know that, I need to condition for that, hopefully soon
