Off to Work with Friends

This guy seemed to have a few friends hanging around as he surveyed his work scene. :)

An archive shot from Huntington Beach California that has me missing the beach while I am here in New Mexico.

I bet it's hot there in New Mexico, it sure is here in Utah. A cool beach scene for sure.
It’s a bit warm, though it actually might have been hotter in Colorado. Fortunately a lot of my time has been up in the mountains so it has been a little cooler there.

Are you going to White Sands NM? That place would be nice in the morning this time of year because the albedo of the sand should keep it much cooler than other areas nearby. You might have to twist the arm of a ranger to let you in there before sunrise but it can be done. I think that $50 is the right twist as I recall.

Doug,
We met up at Great Sand Dunes. Too windy to shoot last night, but went out this morning. He can tell you all about it when he gets to your part of the country.

Hey Doug,

As Monika mentioned, I met up with her in Great Sand Dunes. So that's my 2nd trip there in about 2 weeks. So that was the sand I was going to get in my toes, well actually in my hiking shoes. I am in the process of sanding the wall I helped put up after filling in the seams and edges at my son's house by Santa Fe, so Sand is a theme this week whether I am hiking in sand or just sanding in general. :)
