On the Road to Gothic

Just north of Crested Butte is a road going to the botanical research station in Gothic, and to Schofield Pass. In July and August along this road are miles of wild flowers. On a trip up there in early august 2019 we were treated to hill sides full of flowers and some nice clouds over the mountains, could not have asked for more! ;)

Lots to like in this scene with all the flowers down in front and the neat cloud display.

Curious spot of an old cable spool. That would have been snarfed up in a heartbeat back in the late 60's/early 70's for an apartment decoration with candle drippings accumulating on top :)

This is an awesome scene! In fact, this might be my favorite image of yours in a while, it's that great!

Pretty flowers, is "Gothic " really the name of the town? Thanks for sharing.
