One more comet shot

Last night I went to our new place (still unfinished) to take advantage of darker skies to shoot the comet C/2025 R3 Panstarrs one more time. It’s a bit higher than a few days ago but it’s still close enough to Orion to make for a nice tableau. I used my astro-mod Canon 600D, Rokinon 135 f/2 and Benro Polaris to shoot 30-second subs at iso3200 for around 45 minutes, then stacked in Pixinsight.

Hey James,

I am not jealous at all.... nope not jealous at all..... Oh man! Yes! I am totally jealous!!!! :)

I was never able to capture this guy, always too low to the horizon and showing right at sunset or sunrise. So never dark enough for me.

I will have to say this one is the best of all of the images I have seen of this one from the various posts across the internet. This is super unique. This is a really great one.

You are building a new lodge? Or is it a house for you?

Thank you for the nice comment, and it's nice for me to be on the other side of the "I couldn't shoot this once-in-a-lifetime event because of the clouds" problem. As for the new house, I am not a glutton for punishment, so no, the new house won't be a new lodge, but we will have space for three guest rooms. I think it'd be great for astrophotographers looking for some dark-sky, southern-hemisphere shots.
