Pacman Nebula

This is the Pacman Nebula, SH2-184 which does kind of resemble good old Pacman!

Captured last night with the Seestar, this is an hour of integration with 30 second subs. It was a night that was supposed to be cloudy. We are supposed to be cloudy here in SoCal and some rain for the next week. So I had taken down my regular Astro rig. But when I saw it had turned clear, I decided to put my Seestar out there since it only takes 3 minutes to set up. That's where the Seestar really shines for me, is when unexpected moments arise, I can quickly set it up and be imaging.

Nicely done, your SeeStar is quite active.
Thanks Ed.

Since I don't normally keep my regular astro gear up, the Seestar is so awesome for those impromptu times when I hadn't planned on imaging for whatever reason but then all of a sudden I can. I can get it up and imaging in almost no time, and if the weather turns bad, it's only 30 secs to take down.

Pretty nice result for a 3 minute setup. That's almost point and shoot astrophotography :)
Thanks Alan. Some of the guys have been calling this the iPhone of Astrophotography because it's so easy and yeah, you basically point and shoot.

Good results from your little quickie setup mount for sure.

Thanks Mike, and it could be better. I need to work on getting more integration on these Seestar images. But it's fun and great to have something that can be setup at a moments notice.
