I really like the mood of the atmospherics in the second image. Your point of view and the light rays filtering through the clouds make make a neat combination for this image. The first image has some nice contrasts between the skies and the snow dusted peaks. Good call on the 720nm IR as well as the B&W processing.

I like 'em both, but the second is really wonderful for all the layers and different tones.

That place is magical in the right weather, and you caught it. #2 really conveys that. What a glow! Nice work. Were we there at the same time? I was 12-5 to 12-11.

the contrast in the first is really nice. love how the clouds and mountains seem to work together to push the eye to the right.

I considered going around that time, but I had to decide between the first big storm in Mammoth and Death Valley. This was from a whirlwind trip from 12-15 to 12-16 for promising clouds. I'll probably make a return trip after this storm system lets up a little bit.
