This little guy is a Pacific Chorus Frog (Pseudacris regilla) also known as the Pacific tree frog. The image below depicts it larger than life as they are about an inch long. They hide well in the undergrowth so I rarely get good views of them think less of good poses but in this case I happened to notice some leaves moving in the ground cover strawberries at my feet while I was picking blueberries so I grabbed a couple of shots just before it disappeared below the leaves.
Their size isn't what you would expect when the males start their mating calls and you hear them from hundreds of yards away. When you get near small ponds during the mating season the noise is almost deafening and its hard to hold a conversation over their calls.
