If you are a fan of Fall colors, then perhaps Infrared is something you should pick up! 
Infrared can render some crazy out of this world colors, especially the way I tend to process my infrared photos. But they also can be processed with just a plain channel swap to make the trees look like it's fall, even when it's not. And even with trees that don't turn fall colors, they do now!
