Really nice reworking of these falls. I love the color version but the second image in B&W works quite well too. The smaller square crop brings a whole different mood to the scene and I like the result.

Ken I love your waterfalls and wish I could make such nice ones. You always have so much drama you get nice water and dark surround. Is this because you shot in dark places or is it processing?

Ben it is both. I don't photograph waterfalls with the sun shining on the water. I also try and remove unnecessary details when composing the images as well as processing images to darken / remove unnecessary details. Lastly Britain is a much darker place than most of the USA with softer light due to the higher latitude, much further north than all of USA except for Alaska. I may have videos of my processing techniques taken while talking to a camera club. I will see if I can find one if you wish. Thank you for your nice comment. Ken

I like the color version & the 2nd B&W the most. They have such different moods, it's interesting to see the change.

Hey Ken, if you have that video accessible on YouTube or another source, it would be awesome to have it in our Article/Tutorial section with maybe a short intro to it was an example photo or two and then the link to the video.

Ken, as you know I have been on the road traveling for the last week so I haven't been able to view all of the images. I got back to my daughters yesterday and just got to view this one this morning. Can I just say, this is a masterpiece! I love the mood, the tone, the look. Everything about this.

I was able to capture a little known waterfall here in Colorado that actually looks pretty similar to this one, so now I have set my goal to recreate your masterful look into that waterfall I will process in a few days (after I get all of my images downloaded and get a breather from the 6 grandkids climbing on me. :) )
