Good call on the B&W for this scene - perfect with this lighting. I would be tempted to clone out the wire crossing the scene at the back if this were my image.

This brings back memories. We visited over 40 years ago and found it fascinating. On the same trip we climbed Vesuvius and descended into the caldera, the guide had a very lax attitude to safety. Ken

I will have to confess a pretty complete lack of knowledge of Pompei, or maybe I am confusing it with the lost city of Atlantis, because I had thought Pompei was underwater? I know the volcano went off and killed everyone, making mummies out of the people. But I guess the part of it being underwater is just a mixed up memory on my part.
