Purple Haze Pastel

Nearing Yosemite I smelled something familiar, smoke!
Having come from Northern CA, it wasn't welcome to the senses
Turns out, there was a controlled burn that day.
If I had known, probably wouldn't have come, but glad I did.
Somehow the haze help give Valley View a different, pastel look

Interesting colors to view on my screen (without the smell). This does add an interesting perspective to the scene. The sun rays show how heavy the smoke is.

Nice one. This definitely has a film feel to it Dan. That haze really mutes the colors.

Were you able to work that beam of light in any other shots?

Jim, after the sun broke over the ridge to the south, the effect was gone. Maybe 10 minutes after this shot.
