We went trying on Quince dresses - the date isn't for like another 7 months but the now-14 year old had a lot of fun trying them on and we will have these to make a story album out of the whole thing not just pictures on the day of the party. Sorry for all the pics ! There's a lot of interesting angles and details... I am so glad they had a light setup in the area, it gave me something to anchor against for some more interesting shots than would have been.... I am finally finding the look I want... but slowly.. dialing in my processing, using a custom physical filter, higher iso on purpose, and going with the garish lighting... I wanted a vulnerable, filmic look, not a perfectly controlled digital image... these were unplanned just kind of experimental.

Professional quality Dave! You could make money shooting these types of photos for families. I can't even pick a favorite because each one is perfect with the perfect choice of exposure and limited DOF.

Ben, this is for a Quinceanera, it's a Mexican celebration of a girls 15th birthday. It's a huge thing, especially in SoCal.
