Constructed in the 13th Century by Qutub-ud-Din Aibak, the founder of the Delhi Sultanate, Qutub Minar stands at 240 feet, making it the tallest brick minaret globally. The initial three sections are crafted from red sandstone, while the fourth and fifth sections combine marble with sandstone. The minaret was erected on the site of a demolished ancient Hindu temple, and its structure encompasses the temple's ruins.
