Constructed in the 13th Century by Qutub-ud-Din Aibak, the founder of the Delhi Sultanate, Qutub Minar stands at 240 feet, making it the tallest brick minaret globally. The initial three sections are crafted from red sandstone, while the fourth and fifth sections combine marble with sandstone. The minaret was erected on the site of a demolished ancient Hindu temple, and its structure encompasses the temple's ruins.

Beautiful minaret tower. I could be wrong but there are a lot of artistic motifs in the foreground column that appear to be influenced by Far East origins rather than what I would expect farther west.

Wow! That's incredible workmanship. It's amazing how something that tall, built that long ago is still able to stand? You think it would have tipped over by now. Great capture, I like how you framed it.

@AlanLichty The minaret was built in the site of an ancient Hindu temple that was destroyed. I framed the minaret (Muslim architecture) with the remnants of the old temple (Indian architecture).

I haven't done much photography in India due to work commitments, but I have a few images from my last two visits, which were 10-15 years ago. I'll share them over the coming days.
