OK, that's it, early September and there is no where to go in Western North America.
Montana/Glacier = Fire, Washington Cascades/Rainier = Fire, Oregon Cascades/Siskiyou = Fires, Oregon Coast = no Fire, just to many people, and kiss the Gorge goodby...
BC = Fires everywhere, Yoho, Fraser, Kamloops = Fire, Alberta smoked out.
Thinking of the Olympic NP and Vancouver Island, but so are a whole lot of other folks.
Sorry to be a downer, I'll find strength eventually.
All I want is to know that mother earth is OK so I can rest in her arms:(

Upper Mid West should be in great fall color in a couple of weeks. After Oct.1st central Penn. (Ricketts Glen) and western New York (Finger Lakes and Watkins Glen) should be great. Sort of off topic, but this is a very rare time for the Mid West to hold its own against the West.
