Recent Utah Trip

Hey guys,

Just recently spent 10 days out in Utah and started trying to process some stuff. I haven't had much time with going right back to work but I finally had a drone to mess around with so I worked on a few of those first. I included the overlook image from sunrise in there since the smokey haze from the wildfires made for some interesting light.

I love the fascinating textures and shapes in first three images. Wild variations in drainage patterns for the three scenes. The first one is quite unique. Definitely a lot of smoke in the overlook image.

These are some really awesome drone work Jordan! Really top notch! My favorite I think is #3, though #1 is super cool with that top down view too.

Nice takes on a familiar place. Don't worry about tire tracks, just remove them on post. Can't let them prevent you from having the comp you want.

These are all really fascinating shots. Drone photography seems to have created a new genre: abstract landscapes. I like how they play with the sense of scale. The third one is interesting because the negative space is the subject...mind-bending. Really like the last one too.

I also found the drone nice for days when conditions weren't great for traditional photography or I was feeling a little uninspired or worn out. It's nice to just kick back in the car, fly around, and see what you find

That does sound like fun. Haven't played with one myself yet.
