Red Breasted Sap Sucker

We were camped for several days on the Nisga'a ancestral territory just north of Terrace, BC. This lad appeared several days in a row next to our campsite. A beautiful bird who graced us with his presence more than once. If anyone viewing ever has the opportunity to visit this area be sure to take in the Nisga'a museum and the lava fields. A volcanic eruption roughly three hundred years decimated the Nisga'a band killing approximately 2000 people. The lava fields provide a surreal and profound experience. Comments welcome.

Thanks for the history, and what an awesome bird. This is one of my dream birds to capture one day. Perfect framing

Thanks Eric. To me the image looks a tiny bit soft and noisy. I have started using Topaz AI and the improvement in image quality is noticeable. Going forward that has been my go to before I make any global adjustments to the image or do any masking.
