Thanks Jim: there are also some light yellow rocks like in the Valley of Fire. Lots of color contrasts to support compositions in the park.

So true. It's a really fun area.

I used to just drive on by them being in a hurry to get from California up to Bryce, etc. But then my daughter got her first job out of college in Las Vegas and I would go once a month to visit and so I started to then look for landscapes every time I was there. Red Rock and Valley of Fire were on my list. So for about 3 or 4 years, I as there on a monthly basis.
