Just reprocessed this old 5 mp image using the Topaz Gigapixel processor in Photoshop and found it does a nice job!

The plug-in seem to be built into the latest version of Photoshop, under the Image menu heading called 'generative upscale'.

Here is the original frame from the out of camera jpeg. The camera was a Sigma SD1 Merrill and a 50-500mm lens at about 300mm. The camera has a 1.5 crop sensor.
