Red Trillium

Another member of the trillium family in our yard is the Red Trillium. A couple of different views of the cluster of these blooms just opened up yesterday during some breaks in the rain showers.

Thanks Trent - we don't have a fancy formal garden but there are a lot of plants with staggered blooms that keep it interesting most of the summer.

Thanks Doug - I don't know the specific origin of this variety of trillium as it's something my wife found online somewhere. Over the last 26 years we have lived here she planted almost everything I have shown images of so far this spring.
