Jameel, I sometimes take photography trips to experiment and be creative, but alas, most times I see things I am on a family trip and do not have time, or won't take it due to others being with me , so have to pass on other options. I agree with you, a long exposure would have been a good option for this, maybe next time I am in Florida I will be able to shoot on my own pace.
