Reflections Lake

[Jameel Hyder]

A lake about 30mins north of Anchorage. Happened to notice a sign while driving back from Glacier view. The clouds this day had a potential for a nice sunset, so headed there for a nice hike around the lake. The clouds to the west had other plans and the sunset fizzled out. It was also pretty windy most of the evening but had small windows actually showing some reflections.

I am glad you caught that small window Jameel. For the size of it, the reflections there can be epic.

Great reflections even if the sunset color show didn't pan out. I'd certainly wait to see if the sunset played along with these reflections and overhead clouds.

Thanks Jim. In the other direction there are mountains and with the right light and still water it would have been epic. Test us what I was hoping for.

Thanks Alan. I did wait till well after sunset. Not only did the light never materialize, the wind picked up and killed the reflections.
