Revisiting new friends

Back up to where I saw the Calypsos last week. I also wanted to check out the meadows that can be full of wildflowers a little further into summer. I was surprised that the area where I usually find dodecatheons was quite crispy. The meadow that hosts irises was a bit better, but far from the marsh that can support the tons of wildflowers that are sometimes present.

These are 2 different flowers.

Sure is a pretty little flower. I know it would be near impossible but it would be fun to see a shot looking up into the bloom.

Very nice Monika! Such delicate flowers. I hope that one meadow will produce some flowers for you through the summer. With all of the moisture in it's various forms in Colorado this spring, I wonder why the meadow seemed drier then normal?

I'd have to find one at the top and edge of a steep slope. I don't think I've ever seen one positioned like that. I have seen ones bigger than this, but not tall enough to get a camera under it.

I was definitely surprised to find it as dry as it was. Ah, well, there are other meadows and as long as it doesn't get too hot too soon for too long, it should be good. Rain/snow is forecast for Summit County, so there's hope for continued moisture in the mountains.

Thanks, Jameel. I like that background better, too. I was able to mask that one in PS, but LR did a better job on the 1st & (as far as I know, which isn't very far), there aren't the same options for what to do with a mask in LR.

I am not a LR user, but the camera raw has some pretty good masking tools. That said I believe the LR and Camera RAW share a lot of underlying code. The UX is a bit different however

Masking is not the question, but the availability of blur options with the mask is.
