Road to Gothic

We spent 2 days in Crested Butte this week and had great weather although it was very windy! The wild flowers were a couple of weeks past prime and not very photogenic. The fields and hillsides at the right time can be filled with beautiful flowers, alas we missed it this year. The area is still very picturesque and lots of fun to explore. I took this image on the road to Gothic and it shows some of the beauty there!

Even without pristine wildflowers, that's such a beautiful area it's worth being out there. A nice capture to the road to Gothic Larry!

It did not take me long to get over my disappointment about missing the pristine wildflowers and immerse myself in the beauty all around in the Crested Butte area!
