Rocks, Water, and Time

Monterey, California is where I found these rocks at Cabrillo Beach. Near noon, the harsh overhead light encouraged me to try a long exposure. First is at 1/60 sec, second is at 30 seconds. There are times when a long exposure can make a banal scene more interesting.

I totally agree that the 2nd is much more interesting. It's really cool how the milky water transforms that scene so much.

I like the ghostly appearance of the water in the second image - nice time to have a strong ND filter handy.

Nice work Michael. The long exposure is a nice way to totally transform a scene with either flowing water or clouds.
