Really awesome work Andy! That's where the S50 outshines the S30, in the smaller details.

How did you stack the mosaic in Pixinsight? Or did you take the completed Mosaic from each night to stack in WBPP?

I was able to do the EQ mode about 2 weeks ago, and found it worked really well outside of some star trailing in the beginning when the tracking wouldn't engage. But that's nothing new, the gearing is so sloppy in mine, that it often takes 3 or 4 GoTo's being performed before it will engage the tracking. But it only does it sometimes, so I could never try to return it, but it is a real pain sometimes.

Anyway, once it decided to start tracking, it worked great. I was surprised just how easy it was to setup the EQ mode and get it started. They did a good job with the App I think.

Hi Jim, yes agreed they have done a good job with EQ mode. Easy to set up, and so far running with no problems. I stacked each individual sub in PI, but not using WBPP. Basically use the manual processes for Debayer, Star Alignment and Integration. For star alignment, use one of the stacked images from Seestar. It works really well and allows for multiple nights data. Have a look at the YouTube channel from Space Koala, she explaind the whole process:

Thanks Andy, I will check that out as I would like to see a way to do that. Though it will be a tough watch as I have to admit for some reason her voice and the way she talks drives me absolutely bonkers! I don't know why, but her voice just.... no words to describe it. Her info is great, maybe I can turn on CC mode on the video and turn down the sound.

BTW, what do you think of the news of an upcoming S30 Pro? I had the S30 on preorder, but after see samples last December of comparisons between the S30 and S50 I canceled my Preorder as the IQ of the S30 images was a step down from the S50. But with the S30 Pro, it sounds like they will address all of this IQ issues, so I am really interested in the S30 Pro. I will watch for more details, but they might have hooked me for that one.

Hi Jim, I've not really looked tbh; more than happy with the S50 for now. I'm currently building a widefield setup around the Samyang 135mm...

I have a Samyang 135mm setup that I did a few months back. I have it with the ZWO EAF, ASIAir, etc. It worked well, but I had the strangest gradiations coming out of it on my images. I am not sure why, I will need to try it again at some point. It must have been operator error on my part, I don't recall now if the moon was an issue that night.

I should try it again, as I was thinking on getting an 585mc Pro and keeping it assembled as a unit.
