Rustic Old Barn...

This barn sets back off of Cimarron Road when heading up to the Silver Jack and Owl Creek Pass area. Sunday afternoon I headed up to Silver Jack (part of the San Juan Mountain range in Colorado), this is an extremely popular destination for photographers shooting Colorado autumn colors.

Image was taken with a Sony a6300 which was converted to 590nm by Kolari Vision.

My General Processing:
* I convert my RAW image from camera through RAW Therapee 4.2.1
* import the converted file into Light Room (not necessary, I just run everything thru LR)
* edit in Photoshop, where I go into Camera RAW Filter to set my white balance (yes, I have a custom WB set in camera, but this is just a double check more than anything)
* once back in PS i use the Kolari Vision False Color Suite (they have provided 6 or 7 actions for IR...ie - 590nm to 665nm, IR Channel Swap w/ White Foliage,.....)
* from there I tweak the Hue, Saturation, and Lighting thru the Adjustment Hue/Saturation
* then back in Light Room I do any other adjustments I see fit

If your interested in IR I hope this helps get you started, there is very little information on the internet that explains the process (Youtube). Craig Kirk (Panther) is a wealth of information also.

Have fun, Amy

Very nice Amy, especially the first, and even though I am not likely to venture into IR, your processing info is a welcome addition to this post.

This is super helpful Amy! It’s great to see the steps, thanks so much for listing them all. Maybe we will make this into a little teaching Sticky Thread.

Interesting task list for process these images. Nice to see a cookbook for how to get started once you have a converted camera in hand.

I like the color version of this barn with it's interesting color palette.
