A long time ago, in 2012, before retiring. My neighbor house got struck buy a thunderbolt. The fire followed the ground and reach the isolation in the ceiling. 2 oclock in the morning, rain. I grab the D800 put the 50mm and go shoot pictures in the night, ISO would vary from 2500 to 6000. I would not do their jobs.

Wow, that is sad for your neighbor! My daughter had lightning strike a tree in her backyard and killed the tree. Thankfully it didn't catch the house on fire.

You captured this incident pretty well.

I hope your neighbor had insurance and was able to rebuild.

Oh yess they did but it took 3 years for the insurance to clear this, because this house was a self construction project
