San Francisco Bay Portrait Views

Here are a couple more shots from my drive up to the Berkeley hills this week, this time in a portrait orientation. One has more sunset color and the other has more lights in the city. I'll be interested to hear thoughts about the differences. I guess if I was feeling like it I could combine the best of each...

1) During the best sunset color

2) A little later in twilight with more city lights

I like both of them - the first one for a greater sense of depth to the city and a very tasty sunset. The second one for the nice lighting on the bridge and the more prominent city lights.

#1 is really nice Kyle. But.... When I see #2, it to me has everything #1 offered but more. I like the added city lights in it how they show up more. In #2 it has the blue sky at the top instead of the pastel pink, but I don't see that as an issue, I actually like it.

So I am full on board with Team #2. :)

Definitely #2 for all the reasons mentioned. The straight line demarcating the sunset colors in the sky initially gave me the impression these are two separate images right next to each other. I have never seen that clear separation before.
