Some beautiful birds at the Santa Barbara Bird Sanctuary in Summerland, CA. The gray guy is 60 years old!

Those are so cool. I never realized there was a bird sanctuary. And a bird can be 60 years old? I confess, I know very little about birds, but I kind of assumed that 5 to 6 years was all a bird would live.

Great shots, Bob. Macaws and parrots have always been fascinating to me.

In captivity, I know some cockatoos can live more than 80 years.
