Sapphire Point

I'm in Colorado for a 3 week ski-cation but at my age, I can't ski every day. So, it give me a chance to do some long need landscape photography. Sapphire Point overlooks Dillon Reservoir and the surrounding mountains. The light was rapidly changing and while I didn't get the sun poking through the clouds as I hoped, It's still an awesome view.

All kinds of activities on the frozen lake. Mostly cross country skiers. I didn't see anyone driving but we do that all the time back in Minnesota.

That's a favorite area of mine. There is an overlook on the I-70 that gives great views, ho up there if you haven't. I will stop there if the clouds look good or the mountains have snow.
