This shot is a total of 7 hours so far. It is very faint object, I could barely see it with a 6 minute shot. I am imaging in Bortle 8 skies and using a 5nm Ha filter. I tried some O3 shots but could not see anything but I will get more O3 to get a color image.

Not a DSO I think I have ever seen before and your description of what it took to get this suggests why. Fascinating shape.

Wow Chuck! This is so cool! Thanks for introducing us to a lesser known DSO, I know I haven't heard of it either. I will have to check this out the next time I can get out.

Thanks Jim, with the dark and transparent skies you have you should be able to get a good shot.

That's awesome! Imaging these really faint objects does take a leap of faith when you look at a long single sub and have to use your imagination to see any signal :) Way to persevere on this one. I look forward to what you might pull out of the OIII signal, and any color version you can make out of all the data together.

I almost have 3 hours of O3 and I tried to add it to the Ha but it is not coming out very good. I don't think another 3 hours of O3 would even help. I'll wait until next year to get more data because of all the humidity we are having now. The moisture just lights up the sky.

Well the Hα only image is a compelling image on its own in any case.
