Thanks guys, when I lived in Spokane, bird photography was right up there with landscapes for my interest. Now most of my work is pre 2011.

Thanks, I knew the exact song before I opened the link, one of my favorite operas. I saw this in Person at the Spokane Opera House and have the CD's in my truck and listen to them all the way to Moab, along with Les Miz and Evita.

Beautiful Shot Ben. I just started shooting our Endangered Native Hawaiian Birds and I had to dig deep for gear....its not cheap at all. AGGHHH!!

You are right, very expensive, but long lenses hold their value pretty well.
