Slow fire

The first one is a nice macro and I like the little droplets on the moss. The second one is intriguing with the spalting that almost looks like someone painted flames on the wood. Nicely seen.

Hey Matti, #1 is almost scary! These are both crazy macro abstracts! What are they?
Thanks! They are both kinds of funguses.

The first is Calocera Viscosa. A rather tiny, about an inch. Those grew up from a root of a fallen tree.

The second one is Basidiodendron Radians, I suppose. On a stump of another fallen tree.

Matt,

I like both but LOVE #1 - the glow/contrast of the orange compared to the more calm blues and greens really looks fantastic.

I am getting an enchanted forest vibe.:)
