Snowy Egret and Friends

Thanks to a lot of help I do know this is a Snowy Egret now.

This is from the same evening at Bolsa Chica Wetlands, it got very busy with everyone running around eating their desert before the sunsets.

Looks like a neat place to shoot for creature feature images. Normally backlighting isn't the best for bird shots but it seems to work fine for this sun angle.

I like that second one, A bit more turn to get sideways to the camera would have been nice. Alan is correct, light at your back is normally the way to go.

Yeah, I agree and I wanted to get the sun to my back. Unfortunately as I was driving up to the wetlands, where I saw birds at to do that was in an area without any trails and no easy way to get to. So as I walked around this side of it, and I did like how the birds were getting back lit with the feathers being lit up. So that's what I worked at this point, but I totally get you guys, it wasn't my first choice.

Nice images, especially that second one. The darker birds in the first one are long billed dowitchers.
