Fascinating bloom - it almost looks like it's been infested with some small spider with abundant intricate webs. Not a plant I have seen in real life.

That's the membrane giving way as it opens up. It eventually develops a beautiful, deep magenta, flower.

Not sure I have ever seen that stage of its bloom either. Still quite fascinating.

Thank you. These are very tricky to do without overexposing the blue channel.
